The ongoing effort to restore the identities of fallen soldiers, carried out with the utmost reverence, gratitude, and sense of responsibility, not only offers renewed hope of reunion and gives families a chance to find their loved ones after decades of waiting, but also stands as a vivid expression of the nation's tradition of gratitude and the responsibility of today's generation towards those who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence and freedom.

Ninh Binh’s authorities are stepping up the implementation of a 500-day campaign to search for, recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers, while accelerating a housing assistance programme for families of people who rendered meritorious service during the resistance wars.

The war ended more than half a century ago, but the journey to restore the names of those who made the ultimate sacrifice is far from over.

The launch of the search and recovery operation for martyrs’ remains at Le Thi Rieng Park in Ho Chi Minh City on July 6 is part of the nationwide 500-day campaign launched in April in Quang Tri province ahead of the 80th anniversary of Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 2027), underscoring Vietnam’s determination to better care for people with meritorious service and fulfil the long-standing aspirations of martyrs’ families nationwide.

A delegation of Ninh Binh's Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee led by Mai Van Tuat, Deputy Secretary of Provincial party committee, Head of provincial delegation of NA deputies held an offering ceremony at the Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery, the National Road 9 Martyrs’ Cemetery and the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, to pay tribute to fallen heroes who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom, marking 79 years of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27).

The initiative is regarded as a significant political mission aimed at honouring those who sacrificed their lives for the nation while helping fulfil the long-standing wishes of their families across Viet Nam.

A delegation of provincial leaders on February 12 offered incense in tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh, fallen soldiers, late Party and State leaders, and steadfast communist soldiers who had great contributions to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and happiness for people on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) Festival and the 96th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - 2025) on July, 24 morning, a delegation of Ninh Binh's Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee held an incense offering ceremony at the province's martyr Memorial site and province's martyr monument.
